With digital activity higher than it’s ever been in the wholesale channel due to the coronavirus, Salih Sheikh, formerly head of marketing and digital at Bestway, and The Wholesale Company (TWC) are to launch an online series of talks that cover the topics of digital leadership and strategy within wholesale.

Aimed at helping wholesalers make the most of their digital platforms and engagement programmes, the current FWD Young Wholesaler of the Year and TWC’s videos will go live on Saturday mornings at 10am, starting 2 May.

TWC founder Tanya Pepin will host each conversation, with the first episode exploring Sheikh’s new venture- a business model that is claimed to break a new digital boundary in food.

Sheikh said: “The timing couldn’t be more relevant with the current world-wide crisis where digital is at the heart of business change. Many businesses are looking to adapt to survive. Overnight, we are seeing a shift in working practices and an instant recognition of the power of digital. This series is designed to help wholesalers understand the ‘opportunity’ and helps them make more possible through digital”.
