The fourth chapter of new research, focusing on the current landscape in shopping at UK convenience stores, is available today for free download.

The research, commissioned by TWC and Cirkle, looks at how shopping habits have changed. Chapter 4 focuses on the retailer’s perspective.

– Over half of retailers say they are planning to set up their own delivery and click-and-collect services for customers.

– 43% say they’ll be investing in a new digital strategy and admit technology has “come of age” during the pandemic.

– An average of 11% of stores have already gone cashless in the last 12 weeks.

– 44% of retailers say they’ll be focusing on fruit and vegetables in the months ahead, with a further 40% citing bakery, and 33% highlighting milk and dairy. Fresh is a focus!
