Andrew Selley, chief executive of Bidfood, and Coral Rose, managing director of Country Range Group, have joined other senior executives on TWC’s YouTube channel to talk about how their businesses are adapting to these fast-moving times.

The new additions are from:

Andrew Selley, Bidfood

Selley discusses how Bidfood’s culture of care, share, and dare has helped its team through the crisis. At the same time, he points out that the enforced closure of a large proportion of Bidfood’s customer base has meant the company isn’t immune to COVID-19’s financial implications. He also explains how these unusual times mean that Bidfood has been working in partnership with its main competitor, Brakes.

Coral Rose, Country Range Group

Rose points out that survival for wholesalers right now is about having cash reserves available to see a business through 60%-70% declines in turnover. She also talks about Country Range Group members moving quickly to a direct-to-consumer model to stay open and continue to service their care home and healthcare contracts. They’re now also supporting their local authorities with food deliveries.
