Mike is co-founder and a director of TWC. He is a well respected industry figure having spent 15 years at Landmark Wholesale, with seven of those in the role as managing director. He has a breadth of knowledge about wholesale derived from years of experience at the sharp end alongside strategic ability honed by his senior management roles with Del Monte, Imperial Tobacco and Lonsdale and Thompson.
TWC co-founder Tanya Pepin is one of the foremost experts on the strategic conversion of throughput data into insight – she’s done it all her working life. With over 20 years’ experience working in senior roles in the public sector and Landmark Wholesale (where she launched and managed the company’s data insight services), Tanya more latterly co-founded and launched JPA, managing data services for Bestway, SPAR, Landmark Wholesale and Unitas until JPA’s acquisition in 2011. Tanya is a highly respected & frequent visitor to the boardrooms of UK Wholesalers to ensure insight is at the heart of the future industry alignment.
There are few people closer to the Food & Drink sectors than Richard with over 30 years’ experience across the On and Off trade, and his ability to build brands & categories profitably via use of insight is well established with UK Wholesalers. Passionate about enduring customer relationships being at the core of any service proposition, Richard is absolutely clear that those suppliers & customers who thrive in the future, will be the ones that convert their data into insight that delivers competitive advantage and ROI.
No-one is closer to the market than TWC’s Development Director, Tom Fender, who has ‘lived and breathed’ Wholesale, Retail Convenience and RTM for over 20 years, helping many brands achieve sustainable growth and success. Earning his spurs initially as co-owner of the research firm HIM! Research and Consulting, (prior to its acquisition by William Reed Business Media), and more latterly, as co-founder of e-learning organisation, Bolt Learning, (bought by Aliter Capital in early 2019), Tom is a passionate believer in power of strategically combining data and insight with technology and adds high impact to TWC’s senior management team.
When it comes to customer care, Rachel stands head and shoulders above the crowd. In her role as Consulting Services Director, Rachel is responsible for the management of client outcomes, processes, product data management & data cleansing. With a background in executive search and selection – Rachel understands people, knows how to make a difference and puts her customers first, every step of the way
An expert in getting the most from clients’ data, Category Insight Consultant, Jayne, works alongside the TWC team to grow categories by understanding both the shopper and consumer. She helps key clients interrogate data from various sources to turn insights into short term wins and/or long-term commercial strategies. In her career, Jayne has worked with Hallmark, Bacardi Brown-Forman, Nestle, Precima, and Constellation (now Accolade). She has also consulted across a range of industries including alcohol, confectionary, soft drinks, and automotive.
Our team is passionate about user centred design principles and includes a specialist digital product designer to ensure that the user experience and product development is owned by an expert.
Our developers use agile methodology, which means that TWC’s solutions are built to evolve and adapt as business needs or requirements change. We spend less time on reams of documentation and rigid requirements and more time on wireframes and design layouts to ensure that we have captured the overall need and functional elements and incorporated them into something functionally rich and stylish.
