TWC’s own insight guru, Tanya Pepin, spoke to over 100 member delegates at the Today’s Group Conference this month in Venice, exciting members on the significant benefits that are now available to them through the new insights system that has been specially developed with Today’s Group, designed to deliver business advantage through the sharing of data.

Explaining that TWC was selected by the Board to support Today’s Group in the development and launch of a market-leading business intelligence solution in 2018, she said that the whole aim of the initiative was to provide value added service that was the ‘best in channel’ and would drive sales and incremental revenue for members, whilst recognising the sensitivities around the handling of data.

And, whilst calling for members to join up to the initiative, Tanya confirmed that initial feedback has been hugely positive and benefits to those members who participate, include taking a share of all the fast-growing revenue

She reinforced that Trading is now on board and uses the system to assess products for promotion, as well as preparation for meetings and core range reviews with visibility of distribution gaps, forecasting and insights that ultimately lead to new opportunity and ROI.   Suppliers are already pro-actively using the data to review the impact of MUP and Sugar Tax.

Inviting members to support the initiative – at no cost to themselves, only benefits and business advantage – Tanya confirmed that TWC has now gone on to support Today’s Group in the re-launch of the Plan for Profit App, and working on sample retail data from retail club to look at whether this can be used for compliance and to identify true gaps between what a retailer is purchasing from a member and what they are selling.

In an era where data and analytics are increasingly playing a key role – Today’s Group is looking to lead from the front, delivering value, service and business advantage back to its members and supply partners.
